Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority, Inc. is a non-profit friendship and service sorority. We are not college based. SPG is a wonderful outlet for single women, married women, Moms of all ages and empty-nesters. We DO have members from all age groups. We have chapters in the United States and Canada.
SPG gives members an opportunity to meet and make new friends. SPG gives members the opportunity to serve their communities in projects that really make a difference. Many hands can take on a larger service project than one individual. Chapters select their own local projects.
Each chapter belongs to a local area Province. All Provinces have their own service projects. Also as an International organization we work together in support of larger projects, voted on by our membership. SPG's current International Project is The National Brain Tumor Society.

The park is 12 acres of activity and enjoyment for the citizens of Hartford City; it is the largest park in the city. Members of SPG generously donate funds annually, to help maintain the park conditions; by purchasing play equipment, benches, flowers and trees. Decisions affecting the park are made by the Park Board and members of SPG are actively involved with the board and the decision making process. A curved memorial bench has plaques honoring each of the 5 Founders of SPG. Today the park is used year round by the citizens of Hartford City. During the spring and summer the 2 T-ball fields are busy with games. The concession stand is busy, active children enjoy the playground, adults can be found enjoying a moment of contemplation on one of the many benches throughout the park and the tennis, basketball courts are in active use. During the fall activity begins to slow down, however, there are Pee Wee and Youth flag football games held in the park, there is even the occasional cart race held in the park. Not much happens during the winter due to Indiana weather, however, the residents can be found playing in the snow and enjoying the winter wonderland of Founders Park.
In 1995 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Alpha Chapter a time capsule was buried with plans to open the capsule on the 100th anniversary of SPG that will happen in 2020 mark your calendar and make plans to attend the opening.
